Cedar Breaks Get-Away

For a last get-away before leaving for our mission we took
a week-long trip down to Brian Head and Cedar Breaks.
Kathy and Craig came down and stayed with us
the last part of  the week.
We went on a couple of great hikes and saw lots
of beautiful scenery.

NOW WE'RE READY TO GET GOING ON OUR MISSION!

Craig's birthday party

We celebrated Craig's 39th birthday with a dinner party after going to the Timp. Temple with lots of family. It was Adam's first time going through the temple.
Adam received his mission call to the Moscow, Russia Mission leaving Nov. 15th.
He was surprised, to say the least! Josh and Megan were there along with other family members when he opened his call.

Desert Star Playhouse

Adams Family DescriptionRachelle and Bryant organized a fun evening for us at the Desert Star Playhouse in Murray.  We enjoyed a great evening together and during the show they even announced that "Bert and Sandy Ellsworth are going on a mission to Nebraska!"

I hope they call me on a mission... to Nebraska!

Celebrating our "turning in our mission papers" dinner!
Jan 2012- With a click of the button, our mission papers are submitted!

We are committed.... no turning back!!

Nauvoo, Illinois
March 8th 2012-

We were in Nauvoo with the Southern Virginia University students on their Travel Study Program trip as advisers when the Nauvoo Mission President gave us a copy of the letter from the Mission Department.  We are going to the Omaha Nebraska Mission assigned to the Winter Quarters Historical Sites.

 ************************

Our motivation letter from our children for Christmas... It was in response to our letter we sent to each of them to do and complete their living will.  All they did was change the underlined parts from wills to mission papers and sent it back to us! They each completed their wills and we turned in our papers!

In case you are wondering what this letter is about…

For the past several years we have been trying to find an effective way to encourage you to put together your couple missionary application papers.  Our efforts come and go with no concrete plan that has been effective.  So, this is our newest and most hopeful plan to date:

All we want for Christmas is…
a picture of you holding a copy of your couple missionary application papers.  You can do a simple online application yourself, or have a bishop do the work; whatever your computer skills allow.  Anything is better than nothing, and hopefully this will get you thinking about what’s best for you and your posterity.  If faith is an issue we’ll be happy to put Christmas wishes towards the effort of this project. J  Just let us know.

We love and appreciate you so much and want the best for the both of you…you are so worth it!

Love, your family
